Trust & Safety
What we ask for, who can see it, and how you can check things for yourself.
Child data and privacy
To apply to a daycare you share details about your child — their name, date of birth, care schedule, and the health and care information a licensed provider needs, such as allergies, medical information, immunization records, emergency contacts, pick-up authorizations and their physician. A daycare needs these to decide on a place and to care for your child safely.
- A daycare sees your child’s sensitive details only once your child is accepted or enrolled there, and only for the child that application is for. Before that, it sees an age range instead of the date of birth, and no medical, allergy, immunization, emergency-contact, pick-up or physician details. A place at one daycare shares nothing with another.
- You confirm the sharing for each application. When you apply, you affirm that the daycare may receive your child’s information, and that affirmation is recorded against that application.
- Your child’s record is yours. Another parent’s account cannot read or change it.
